Cebu Pacific Travel Guide 2026: Airport Tips, Baggage Allowance, and Travel Reminders

With Undas just around the corner, many Filipinos are preparing to travel home to spend time with their families or take a much-needed holiday. As the peak travel season approaches, Cebu Pacific (CEB) is reminding passengers to plan ahead and follow important airport and travel guidelines for a safer and smoother journey.

From arriving at the airport early to reviewing baggage restrictions, here are six important reminders to keep in mind before your next Cebu Pacific flight.

1. Arrive at the Airport Early

Expect heavier road traffic during the Undas travel season, so make sure to leave home earlier than usual.

Cebu Pacific advises passengers to arrive at the airport at least three hours before domestic flights and four hours before international flights.

Keep these important check-in and boarding times in mind:

  • Domestic flights: Check-in counters close 45 minutes before departure.

  • International flights: Check-in counters close one hour before departure.

  • Boarding: Boarding begins 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

After checking in, proceed to immigration and final security checks as soon as possible to avoid last-minute delays.

2. Check In Online to Save Time

Want to spend less time waiting in line at the airport? Cebu Pacific encourages passengers to check in online through the official Cebu Pacific mobile app or the Manage Booking section of its website.

Online check-in is available starting 48 hours before departure until:

  • Domestic flights: One hour before departure.

  • International flights: Two hours before departure.

Domestic passengers who have checked in online and are traveling without checked baggage may proceed directly to the boarding gates.

For passengers departing from NAIA Terminal 3, Cebu Pacific's bag drop counters are located at Aisles A and B. Have your boarding pass ready by checking in online or using one of the terminal's self-service kiosks.

3. Review Cebu Pacific's Baggage Allowance

Before packing, make sure your bags comply with Cebu Pacific's latest baggage rules.

Effective September 15, 2026, passengers flying on Cebu Pacific (5J) flights may bring up to 10kg of total hand-carry baggage, while passengers on Cebgo (DG) flights retain a total hand-carry allowance of up to 7kg.

Passengers may bring a maximum of two hand-carry items on board:

  • One hand-carry bag: Must fit in the overhead compartment.

  • One personal item: Must fit under the seat in front of you.

The maximum dimensions are as follows:

Baggage typeMaximum dimensions
Hand-carry baggage56 × 36 × 23 cm
Personal item20 × 35 × 20 cm

Make sure you can comfortably lift, carry, and stow your bags on your own. Items that exceed the airline's permitted limits must be checked in and may incur applicable baggage fees.

Need More Checked Baggage?

To avoid unexpected airport charges, Cebu Pacific recommends purchasing your checked baggage allowance in advance through the Manage Booking portal using your MyCebuPacific account.

Passengers may purchase up to three pieces of 20kg checked baggage. Each purchased piece may also be upgraded with an additional 4kg, 8kg, or 12kg allowance on top of the initial 20kg.

Additional baggage allowance can be purchased online up to two hours before departure.

4. Complete Your eTravel Forms for International Flights

If you're traveling internationally, don't forget to accomplish the required Philippine eTravel forms before your trip.

Passengers are encouraged to register or update their eTravel forms within 72 hours, or three days, before departing from or arriving in the Philippines. Remember to save the QR code generated after completing the form.

For round-trip international travel, passengers must complete the eTravel form twice: once for departure from the Philippines and again for arrival.

After generating the eTravel QR code, passengers should also complete the Customs Declaration Form before arrival. Keep the QR code accessible, as customs officers will scan it after baggage claiming at the arrival carousel.

You can complete your eTravel registration through the eGovPH app or the official website at www.etravel.gov.ph.

5. Know the Rules for Electronic Devices and Power Banks

If you're bringing your phone, laptop, tablet, or other portable electronic devices, remember that these must be placed in your hand-carry baggage and not in your checked luggage.

Cebu Pacific also reminds passengers of its power bank restrictions. Under the updated guidelines outlined in the airline's advisory:

  • Power banks with a capacity of up to 100Wh are permitted, subject to applicable rules.

  • Power banks exceeding 100Wh are prohibited.

  • Power banks must be carried in the cabin and kept in your pocket or the seat pocket in front of you.

  • Power banks must not be stored in the overhead compartment or under the seat.

  • Using or charging power banks during the flight is strictly prohibited.

Before packing your power bank, check its capacity and make sure it complies with the airline's latest safety requirements.

6. Self-Tag Your Checked Baggage at Select Airports

Passengers flying from select domestic destinations are reminded to self-tag their checked baggage at designated airport kiosks before proceeding to the bag drop counters.

These destinations include Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Caticlan, Cauayan, Clark, Coron, Davao, El Nido, General Santos, Iloilo, Legazpi, Manila, Pagadian, Puerto Princesa, Siargao, Surigao, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

Self-bag drop kiosks are also available at NAIA Terminal 3 and Clark International Airport.

To receive important flight reminders and updates, passengers are encouraged to ensure that their contact information is up to date. You can update your details through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website.

Traveling during Undas can be busy, but a little preparation can make a big difference. Arrive at the airport early, check in online, review your baggage allowance, and complete any required travel forms before your flight.

Whether you're heading home to reunite with family or taking a holiday during the long weekend, keeping these reminders in mind can help make your journey smoother and more convenient.
