Top 5 Reasons the HONOR X5c Plus Is a Great Budget Smartphone in 2026

You do not always need an expensive phone to get a good everyday experience, and the HONOR X5c Plus is a great example of that. After spending some time with HONOR’s newest budget smartphone, I was surprised by how well it delivered on the basics while still offering features that make it worth a look. 1. Big Screen

The 6.74-inch screen and 90Hz refresh rate of the HONOR X5c Plus caught my eye right away. The screen is big enough to make using the phone every day more fun, whether I'm reading messages, scrolling through social media, or watching videos.

It also has a 720×1600 resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio, which makes it easy to watch every day. I also like the Eye Comfort and Dynamic Dimming technology because it helps reduce eye strain, which is great if you spend a lot of time on your phone like I do.

A larger screen makes watching movies and TV shows much more fun. It makes everything more interesting, from watching shows to browsing apps to reading articles. Also, it's great for older users because it has bigger text and a more comfortable viewing area.

 2. A long battery life 

The battery on this device is another great thing about it. The battery is 5260mAh and can easily last a whole day of normal use. The phone can do things like stream videos, send messages, browse social media, and surf the web without needing to be charged all the time. This makes it a good phone for everyday use.

The phone can also charge at 15W through a wire, which makes it easy for people to charge the battery when they need to. It might not be the quickest way to charge, but it's good enough to top off the battery quickly before you leave. The battery's size and efficiency make the device more useful for everyday use as a whole.

3. Processor that works well for daily tasks

The HONOR X5c Plus is a entry-level phone, but its MediaTek Helio G81 octa-core processor makes it easy to do things like check your email and send texts.

Most of the time, texting, browsing social media, and watching videos work well. Apps open quickly. It can also handle light and casual gaming, which is great if you want to have some fun in your spare time.

The overall performance feels stable and easy to use for people who mostly use their phones to talk, browse the web, and have fun.

4. More storage space

Budget smartphones can sometimes run out of storage space, but the HONOR X5c Plus does a good job of fixing that. It already has 128GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM, which is more than enough for everyday apps, photos, and files.

You can also add up to 1TB of storage with a microSD card. This means you can save even more videos, pictures, and downloads without worrying about running out of space anytime soon. This is especially helpful if you like to take a lot of pictures or save media on your device.

The HONOR X5c Plus is a great phone because it is affordable but it still has the basic features that most people want, like a big screen, a long battery life, reliable performance, and storage that can be expanded.

For ₱6,999, it's a great option for students, people who are new to smartphones, or anyone who just needs a second device that works well without spending a lot of money.

The camera is another great feature that I really like. The back camera on the phone is 50 MP and has an f/1.8 aperture. It can take pictures with a resolution of 8160 × 6112 pixels and record video at 1920 × 1080 pixels with up to 10× digital zoom.

The 5 MP front camera has a resolution of 2592 × 1936 pixels and can also record video at 1920 × 1080 pixels, which is great for video calls and selfies.

Entry-level smartphones have come a long way since I got my HONOR X5c Plus. This model is definitely worth considering if you want a smartphone with a big screen, a long battery life, perfect everyday performance, and a reasonable price.
