Discover the Glow: Everything You Need To Know About White Glow

Whitening products is one if not the most popular kind of product in the Philippines but all these brands popping out every now and then, consumers get overwhelmed as to what brands to try and what suits them.

I recently tried this local brand,White Glow and I want to share it to you guys my experience.

White Glow is a Davao based brand that formulates their beauty products that can rejuvenate, improve and enhance their consumer’s skin to help them look beautiful.This brand has been in the industry since 2016 and as of the moment they have 5 products : White Glow Soap,White Glow Facial Toner, White Glow Lotion,White Glow Facial Day Cream, and White Glow Night Cream. All of the products is HALAL certified and FDA certified.

Carrot extract is ideal for mature and dry skin types. They have natural ingredients to help reduce appearance of wrinkles, age spots and other signs of skin aging at the same time providing moisture and hydration.

Tomato extract has anti inflammatory properties and can be a remedy for loose pores and acne breakouts. It also shields the skin against UV induced erythema. 

Cucumber extract hydrates and soothes skin. It has refreshing properties that can reduce puffiness, relieve itching and redness. It also has anti inflammatory qualities that's helpful for people with sensitive or acne prone skin.

Avocado extract works as a wonderful antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory skin care ingredient and also increases collagen production.

Papaya fruit extract is rich in antioxidants, including lycopene, which can help fight free radical damage and promote the healthy aging of your skin while minimizing damage. Papaya fruit extract may also help improve the elasticity of your skin, which can help reduce the appearance of fine lines.

Calamansi extract has a lot of antioxidants and helps get rid of dead skin. This means that it can renew the cells in your skin, make the colour brighter, and help get rid of fine lines and wrinkles. 

Egg White help tighten and firm aging skin. If you have large pores or acne-prone skin, egg whites help close pores and get rid of build up. And if your skin is oily, egg whites are said to clarify pores and hair follicles that make too much sebum.

Lemon reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improves sagging and loss of elasticity, helps improve hyperpigmentation, fights off free radicals that damage the skin, boosts natural radiance with vitamin C and reduces excess oil in the skin.

Milk can help to gently exfoliate the skin and brighten the complexion. It is also a natural source of hyaluronic acid, which helps to keep the skin hydrated and plump. Milk also contains fatty acids that can help to nourish and protect the skin barrier. Lastly, it is a natural source of vitamin A, which can help to improve the overall health of the skin.

What I really love about this soap is that it's made from 100% Natural Extracts and it's big for it's price. Since I'll be sharing to you the benefits of Glutathione, Alpha Arbutin and Kojic Acid in the next paragraphs, I'll just share the benefits of Hazel Witch and Aloe Vera first. 

Witch Hazel helps remove grime, dirt and excess makeup at the same it acts as a great base for moisturizers and other serums. It also helps reduce inflammation and tighten pores. Witch Hazel is also an anti oxidant and helps control oil production, it also works well for nearly all skin types.

Aloe Vera on the other hand boosts skin cell reproduction, fight skin inflammation, reduce redness and is a natural treatment for stretch marks and acne marks.

Witch Hazel is a natural, botanical ingredient that has been used for generations to help combat common skin issues like irritation, redness and acne among other problems. Witch hazel distilled with alcohol can be incredibly drying, which can create other issues when used frequently. That’s why it is so important to choose an alcohol-free witch hazel, to keep that dryness from happening and ensure your skin stays supple and beautiful.There are times that I experienced stinging sensation when using this toner and the stinging sensation is gone as soon as the product dries onto my skin. For someone that's sensitive, I swear it's tolerable.

The common ingredients of the Day Cream,Night Cream and Lotion is Glutathione, Kojic Acid and Alpha Arbutin. 

Glutathione reduces the production of melanin, which can lead to a more even skin tone and reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation

Kojic Acid is often used as a skin lightening agent and like Glutathione, Kojic Acid lightens visible sun damage, age spots or scars.

Alpha Arbutin is a potent antioxidant that helps combat free radical damage, lessen aging effects, and brighten the skin tone. 

Basically, these 3 ingredients not only helps you lighten your skin tone but it also combats common skin problems like hyperpigmentation, scars and visible sun damage. I also like how the 3 creams/lotion does not feel sticky at all and it smells so good. The day cream and lotion, both contains SPF 30 so it doesn't only lighten your skin but it also protects it from sun damage.

Overall, I like how the ingredients, warnings, directions, manufacturing dates and expiry dates are printed on label and box. The price range is affordable and reasonable for their sizes. Since it's a local brand, it's easier to buy and I love how simple the routine is like I don’t need to do a lot of steps to achieve that white glow effect.
