Why Big Bad Wolf Books 2025 at Azuela Cove Is a Must-Visit for Davao Readers

The Big Bad Wolf Books in Davao 2025 reopened with the goal of uniting the community through literature to find solace, inspiration, and connection.

The sale, which takes place in The Tent at Azuela Cove, provides a friendly, secure, ground-level setting that guarantees everyone's comfort and accessibility. Book enthusiasts will find it easier than ever to participate in the exciting event, which takes place every day from 10 AM to 12 PM from November 13 to 24, 2025, with free shuttle services to and from Azuela Cove. Big Bad Wolf's adored mascot, Wolfie, welcomed visitors of all ages for pictures and high fives on the opening day, which was filled with joyful reunions and exuberant celebrations. Local buskers singing live acoustic sets added warmth and rhythm to the event, enhancing the happy atmosphere.

Big Bad Wolf Books Philippine Country Head Ley Almeda, Big Bad Wolf Business Director Bernard Lee, and Ms. Salome Enoc, Officer-in-Charge of the City Library and Information Center, all attended the celebration, highlighting how the return of Big Bad Wolf Books to Davao represents the city's tenacity and unwavering love for tales that spur development and generosity.

Building Back the Community as Schools Compete in Campus Challenge

Big Bad Wolf Books will donate books to local learning communities in collaboration with the Davao Local Government, encouraging young readers and reinforcing the idea that having access to stories may boost emotional resilience and spur fresh starts.

“Books have the power to bring people together, to comfort, and to inspire. We’re thrilled to return to Davao not just with millions of stories to explore, but with a chance to support local communities and young readers as they rebuild and grow,” shared Bernard Lee.

Ley Almeda added, “This year’s Big Bad Wolf Books Sale in Davao is about more than just a sale. It’s a celebration of hope, learning, and generosity. Beyond our initiatives like the Campus Challenge and book donations, this year also shines a spotlight on community collaborations, from the workshop with Amber (@amberclopedia), to book signing sessions with local authors, and performances by local community buskers, all coming together to inspire creativity, connection, and a shared love for reading.”

This year, Big Bad Wolf Davao invites schools throughout Davao City to participate in the Campus Challenge: Read It to Win It, a fun reading-inspired competition, in an effort to further promote local schools. When registering as Big Bad Wolf Members, parents and children must identify their school affiliation at the time of checkout and provide a valid school ID for verification. One eligible entry for their school is equivalent to every ₱2,000 single-receipt purchase.

A daily leaderboard on Instagram Stories will show which schools are leading in total book sales and attendance—fueling friendly rivalry among schools in Davao City. Throughout the 12-day event, a daily leaderboard will track the top-performing schools who will win generous book prizes:

  • 1st Place: Books for Library Grant (1,500 books)

  • 2nd Place: Reading Corner Bundle (1,000 books)

  • 3rd Place: Teacher Voucher Packs (500 books)

Green Meadow Christian Academy, Davao Christian School V-Mapa (Elementary), Davao Christian School V-Mapa (Senior High School), Assumption College of Davao, Davao Christian School C.P. Garcia Campus, Scripture Christian Academy, Precious International Grade School, and Precious International High School are among the current competitors. To further spread the joy of reading, each winning school will be urged to give their prizes to a public school or community library.
