I have a lot of countries that I'm considering living like Canada. When it comes to Canadian provinces, it doesn’t get much better than British Columbia. British Columbia truly has something to offer everyone, whether you’re a lover of the outdoors or prefer a more fast-paced way of life. 

British Columbia is also home to some of the most incredible cities in the world, and the province has been known to attract tons of tourists each year for this reason. Save Enough Money

When moving to a new city, it is imperative that you have a comfortable amount of money in your savings. Not only will you need to pay for moving fees, but you’ll want to have enough money in the bank in case of an emergency. Additionally, if you don’t already have a job lined up and plan on interviewing at different companies once you make the move, it is especially important that you have enough money saved to cover your first few months of living expenses. Living in a city is typically more expensive than living somewhere more rural, so keep this in mind when planning your big move.

Figure Out How You’re Going to Get Around

Owning a car in a big city isn’t impossible, but it can certainly be a challenge. This is why it is important that you figure out how you’re going to get around before you move to a big city in British Columbia. Most cities offer more than one mode of public transportation, including subway systems and public buses, but you’ll need to know their schedules and where you can expect to hop on and off before you move. 

Nowadays, many people opt for ride sharing services like Uber and Lyft to get around, as this mode of transportation can often be more convenient and will take you exactly where you need to go. However, keep in mind that ride sharing services often surge their prices at night and on the weekend, which can make getting to and from where you need to go more expensive than you were expecting. If you do decide to bring your car to the city, be sure to research local parking laws to avoid getting a hefty ticket.

Be Open to New Experiences

Moving to a place can be intimidating, especially a big city with millions of people you don’t know. If you’re worried that you’ll have a hard time meeting new people when you make your big move, one of the best things you can do is simply be open to new experiences. Whether it’s joining a club based on a particular special interest of yours or signing up for a group workout class at your neighborhood gym, there are tons of ways to meet like-minded people in your new city—you just have to be open to it!
