The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf 2015 Holiday Launch


At the beginning of every love story, a passion brews in unexpected places. When traveling around Europe during their honeymoon, Herbert and Mona Hyman were inspired by European coffee shops that provided unique experiences to its visitors. Thus they decided to bring the idea to America. The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf was born in Brentwood California in 1963 - the very first of its kind to sell fresh roasted gourmet coffee and tea.

In 2003, the franchise arrived on Philippine shores, giving Filipinos access to top 1% grade A Arabica beans and top two hand plucked tea leaves.

Last November 7,2015, I was invited by The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf to their 2015 Holiday Launch here in Davao City. Holiday Season is fast approaching so what does it mean? Definitely Gift Giving.


The Giving Journal is not your ordinary planner. It is designed to encourage individuals to pursue their dreams and passion at the same time find meaning in everyday moments. Giving back has never been this simple.


 

The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf supports the REAL Life Foundation. The foundation is the Giving Journal's beneficiary. Proceeds from the Giving Journal are used to help kids and teenagers go to school. Because they believe that education is powerful tool to achieve one's dream. This program is not just for one school year but they support the students’ whole college education. Since 2011, they have already sponsored 38 university scholars and 13 of those scholars have already graduated.

This Christmas, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf has 2 special holiday drinks, each with two variations: iced and warm latte. Toffee Nut is ideal for those who have sweet tooth. Its flavour comprises of a buttery caramelized sugar with a hint of nut, paired with espresso topped with toffee bits. The second one is the Winter Dream Tea. It is Rooibos and Black tea blended with sweet spices and hints of Vanilla. Perfect companions for celebrating holidays. 


The Giving Journal 2016 has 4 colors: Tan, Mustard Yellow, Tiffany Blue and Violet.

1. A minimum single-receipt purchase of a regular or large sized Original Ice Blended®, Espresso/Coffee-based, or Tea-based Beverage, Hot Chocolate/Hot Vanilla or CBTL™ capsules qualifies a customer to get a stamp card.
2. Each card consists of 12 circles with corresponding purchased drink/item assignments. These are as follows:
(1) Original Ice Blended® (any flavor, regular or large)
(1) Tea Latte (any flavor, regular or large)
(1) Espresso/Coffee-based Beverage (any flavor, double, regular or large)
(1) Holiday Featured Beverage (Winter Dream Tea Latte or Toffee Nut, regular or large)
Any (8) Original Ice Blended®, Espresso/Coffee-based or Tea-based Beverages, or Hot Chocolate/Hot Vanilla 
(1) Box of CBTL™ capsules (any flavor) = 2 stamps
(1) CBTL™ Single Serve Beverage System (Kaldi, Contata and or Desto) purchase automatically allows the customer to claim his/her 2016 Giving Journal
3. Stamp card must always be presented UPON PURCHASE so that a circle may be stamped whenever its corresponding product assignment is purchased
4. Once all 12 circles are stamped and completed IN ONE STAMP CARD, customer will be able to claim the 2016 Giving Journal at any The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® branch nationwide. Combining of stamps cards is not allowed.
5. The completed stamp card should be presented and surrendered to the branch where The Giving Journal will be claimed. The cashier will punch the stamp card to prevent reuse.
6. Not valid in conjunction with other promos.
7. Promo period is from October 23, 2015 to January 10, 2016.

8. The 2016 Giving Journal may be claimed at any The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® branch all throughout the promo period from October 23, 2015 to January 10, 2016, or until 60 days after the promo has ended.
