Misi Cosmetics Juicy Pop Liptint Review: Shades, Price, and My Honest Thoughts

I’m back with another beauty review, but this time it’s from a local brand, Misi Cosmetics. Misi Cosmetics is a Davao-based brand from someone I’ve known and trusted for about 10 years now, so I was really excited to try their first product.

Just a disclaimer: this package was sent to me as PR, but all my opinions about the product are genuinely my own.

So let’s talk about the Misi Juicy Pop Lip Tint.

According to the brand, this is a soft-luxury lip stain made specifically for Southeast Asian skin tones and humid weather. It’s inspired by blurred sunset tones and that clean girl makeup look. The formula is supposed to be lightweight, breathable, and non-sticky and gives the lips that juicy, healthy-looking glow.

It retails for ₱349 each, and you get 2 grams of product per tint. For its first release, Misi Cosmetics launched with 5 shades to choose from.

Here’s a quick look at the five available shades:

  • Lovely Lychee—A cool, milky pink shade that reminds me of strawberry milk.
  • Berry Sweet—A rosy pink with a hint of purple. Think of your usual MLBB shade but with a subtle grape tint.
  • Dear Cinnamon—A warm, reddish-brown color, reminiscent of cinnamon and spiced tea.
  • Shy Pomelo—A warm peachy nude that resembles the soft color of citrus flesh.
  • Sassy Strawberry—A bright pink-red shade that reminds me of fresh strawberry juice.

First, let’s talk about the packaging because I honestly really like it. It doesn’t look like your typical local brand packaging. It’s giving Korean beauty brand vibes, and I think they did a really good job with how everything looks.

Now, I’ll be honest. I’m not really a huge fan of glosses because I usually find them heavy and sticky on my lips. I also feel like really glossy lips tend to emphasize my protruding lips, which is honestly one of my insecurities.

So what I like about this one is that although it gives you that juicy glossy look, it doesn’t feel too heavy or overly sticky on the lips. It also doesn’t have that super oily feeling that some glosses have.

Another thing I really like is that it actually leaves a stain.

So even when the glossy finish starts to fade, there’s still color left on your lips. I personally prefer lip products like this because I don’t have to constantly reapply just to have some color on my lips.

I also like that they already came out with 5 shades for their first release. The colors were made with Southeast Asian skin tones in mind, which I think is something we should see more from local brands. Sometimes it can be difficult to find shades that actually complement warm and Morena skin tones, so I appreciate that they considered this when creating the product.

And of course, another plus for me is that it’s a local brand. Since Misi is based here in Davao, it’s nice to see a local brand creating products that are made with our skin tones and our weather in mind.

Pros :

• Cute packaging

• Has 5 shades

• Colors are made with Southeast Asian skin tones in mind

• Leaves a nice stain

• Not overly shiny

• Doesn’t feel oily or heavy on the lips

• Not too sticky

• Lightweight and comfortable to wear

• Easy to access since it’s a local brand

• FDA approved/registered

Cons :

Honestly, I don’t have a lot of complaints about the formula itself.  I think it’s a reasonable price for a local product, especially if you like this kind of juicy lip finish.

I also hope Misi Cosmetics comes out with more products in the future. Maybe lipsticks? Because as much as I appreciate this product, I’m still very much a matte girl at heart.

Overall, I think the Juicy Pop Liptint is a really nice first release from Misi Cosmetics. I like that they thought about Southeast Asian skin tones and our humid weather instead of just creating another generic lip product.

If you’re someone who likes glossy lips but doesn’t like that heavy, sticky feeling, I think this is worth checking out.

And honestly, I’m excited to see what they come up with next. Hopefully, a good matte lipstick for us matte girlies.
