Jollibee Wins Grand Champion Title at Dinagyang Festival 2026 Mardi Gras Parade

At the 2026 Dinagyang Festival's Mardi Gras Parade of Sponsors, one of the most eagerly awaited events of the yearly cultural extravaganza that attracted thousands of spectators to Iloilo City, Jollibee emerged as Grand Champion.

The top fast-food chain in the nation outperformed other parade entrants with a colorful display that was inspired by its famous Chickenjoy and Yumburger and brought to life by upbeat street dance performances by Iloilo National High School students. The entry showcased vibrant costumes, lively dance, and festive music that represented the brand's joyous identity as well as the local way of life.

Jollibee won several special prizes in addition to the Grand Champion title, such as Best Street Dance, Best Festive Music, Best Festive Mascot, Best Festive Costume, and Best Festive Marquee. 

 “Being recognized at the Dinagyang Festival is deeply meaningful for us,” said Dorothy Ching, vice president for marketing of Jollibee Philippines. “But beyond the awards, what truly matters is being able to share moments of joy with the community and celebrate the rich culture and spirit of Iloilo together with the Ilonggos.” 

During the ILOmination Float Parade, where its lit float and the Jollibee and Friends characters entertained festivalgoers with energetic dance routines, Jollibee also attracted sizable crowds enhancing the joyous ambiance of the citywide festivities.

Earlier in the month, the brand launched its Dinagyang ambitions with a media day that gave partners a sneak peek at its festival plans. Arriving passengers at Iloilo International Airport were greeted by the Jollibee mascot, which contributed to creating a joyous atmosphere as tourists arrived in the city.

Dinagyang-themed decorations and activities were displayed in Jollibee locations throughout Iloilo throughout the festival time, turning branches into family-friendly gathering places. Additionally, the company launched its "Likha Local: JOYful Arts Program," which encouraged kids to use art and creative expression to take part in the celebrations. 

 

 Jollibee's ongoing involvement in Dinagyang demonstrates its dedication to promoting regional culture and community festivities, enhancing the festival's spirit and fostering happy moments for both families and tourists.
